Join our team as a Fire Control Maintenance Dispatcher! In this role, you'll be responsible for entering maintenance requests, collaborating with the engineering team to ensure tasks are completed, delivering exceptional guest service, and supporting safety procedures during alarm activations. THE JOB:

It is the responsibility of the Fire Control Maintenance Dispatcher to provide excellent internal and external Guest Service by using excellent service and communication skills to support the guest, engineers, and other departments in their goals. Is part of a courteous, professional, and engaging team that oversees all department operations as related to the life safety system and facility management system.

THE STARTING RATE: $16.00/hr

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Manage computerized maintenance management and life safety systems to prioritize, manage and dispatch maintenance team, complete assigned administrative tasks on a consistent basis.

  • Maintain a constant awareness of personal and property cleanliness, safety, and accident prevention.

  • Recognize required needs of a fast-paced environment by using good judgment and the ability to multi-task.

  • Own requests and complaints; resolve issues immediately and follow up to ensure the guest's satisfaction, answer incoming calls and assist when necessary or direct calls to appropriate areas.

  • Create a positive work environment, greet fellow employees, and thank them when they lend assistance, anticipate guests' needs, respond promptly and acknowledge all guests, no matter how busy or time of day, prioritize guest requests and dispatches.

  • Knowledgeable of Department and Hotel goals, Hotel information to answer guest inquiries, and work under minimal supervision to complete tasks in a timely manner.

IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Past work experience in the hospitality industry or a comparable field.

  • Background in a similar role involving dispatch and fire alarm response.

  • At ease working with different departments frequently.

  • Proficient in using multi-line telephone systems and various software applications.

  • Familiarity with hotel management systems like Opera or Amadeus (HotSOS), among others.

  • Willing to work flexible hours based on operational needs.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Work varied shifts, to include weekends and holidays.

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

  • 1+ Years of Prior Relevant Experience.
