Job Description: Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer

We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented radiologic technologist to be responsible for operating imaging equipment for diagnostic purposes. The radiologic technologist's responsibilities include following physicians' orders regarding the area of the body to scan, positioning patients and equipment, and answering patients' questions. The radiologic technologist will use imaging equipment to capture images of tissues, bones, organs, and vessels, and may assist in the administration of radiation therapy treatments or radiopharmaceuticals.

To be a successful radiologic technologist, you should be compassionate and have good communication and interpersonal skills when dealing with patients. You should have good technical and analytical skills.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Preparing examination rooms for patient examinations.
  • Administering radiopharmaceuticals to obtain clear, usable images.
  • Positioning patients and equipment, explaining the procedures, and ensuring patients' comfort.
  • Inserting commands and date into the computer to document and specify the scan sequences, and monitoring the video display to adjust the density or contrast.
  • Monitoring patients during examinations, ensuring their safety and following procedures to prevent unnecessary exposure to radiation.
  • Producing diagnostic images, reporting important information to the physician and updating patient records.
  • Organizing the daily procedures schedules for emergencies and monitoring radiographic supplies.
  • Performing administrative tasks such as answering technical questions, scheduling appointments, and offering pre-procedure advice.
  • Performing scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs on radiographic equipment.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • 1 year General Radiographer experience.
  • Radiology License
