Position Summary:

The Marketing Specialist at WestCare Foundation plays a pivotal role in promoting the organization's endeavors, maintaining its branding integrity, and crafting compelling messaging to enhance community awareness and drive consumer acquisition. This individual will be instrumental in supporting the expansion of WestCare's programs, services, and community initiatives across various domains including mental health, treatment & rehabilitation, crime prevention, adolescent services, community enrichment, and education and prevention.

The role entails providing social media support, aiding in marketing projects such as event coordination, presentations, and public relations activities aligned with the agency's mission, vision, and values. The Marketing Specialist will also be responsible for executing diverse duties as assigned, all aimed at contributing to the delivery of effective marketing projects that bolster WestCare's reputation and facilitate its continued growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote WestCare's programs, services, and community initiatives.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all marketing materials and communications channels.
  • Craft compelling messaging tailored to target audiences to enhance community awareness and drive consumer engagement.
  • Support the growth and expansion of WestCare's programs through effective marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Provide social media support by creating and curating engaging content, managing platforms, and fostering online community engagement.
  • Assist in marketing projects including event support, presentations, and public relations activities to effectively communicate WestCare's mission, vision, and values.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of marketing efforts with organizational objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze marketing performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize marketing strategies.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance marketing effectiveness.
  • Participate and contribute to marketing activities to help achieve company goals.
  • Plan and participate in internal and external outreach events.
  • Represent the agency in a positive light and educate potential clients about our services.
  • Participate in staff meetings and trainings.

  • Oversee the filming and production of short videos for use on social media encouraging employee engagement/recognition and community awareness of our services.
  • May coordinate involvement in conferences, exhibitions, and marketing seminars.
  • Must embrace and embody the mission, vision, guiding principles, clinical vision, and goals of WestCare Foundation.
  • Position may involve other relevant duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Outlook, Word, Publisher, PowerPoint and Excel as well as design software such as Adobe and Canva.

  • Able to understand that with fast growth comes fast change, and as a result, you will be able to work well in environments that can change from day to day.
  • Maintain continuous lines of communication with our global Marketing and Communications Team and keep the Vice President of Marketing & Communications fully informed of all critical issues.
  • Perform occasional administrative office duties (Team event planning, PR efforts, printing, supply ordering, etc.)
  • Occasionally appear in WestCare-produced educational and promotional videos.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Graphic Design, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or related experience.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is primarily performed in a home office setting/remote. There will be access to an office space when needed for in person events/work.

  • Some travel is required, and some outdoor activities may be required.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays for special events.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Occasional lifting of more than 10 pounds.
  • Sitting, standing, walking, reaching are performed in the normal course of the position.
  • The normal work routine involves no exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissues, BUT exposure or potential exposure may be required as a condition of employment. Appropriate personal protective equipment will be readily available to every employee engaged in Category II tasks.
