About the Role:

The UI/UX Designer will provide a qualified workforce to function as the lead UI/UX designer for data instrumentation and data-driven analysis capability for the 805 CTS.

Additional Responsibilities Include, but are not Limited To:

• Responsible for collecting, researching, investigating, and evaluating user requirements.
• Communicates with users to understand their goals and objectives.
• Plans and implements new designs.
• Optimizes existing user interface designs.
• Tests for intuitivity and experience.
• Gathers and evaluates user requirements, in collaboration with product managers and engineers.
• Designs graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs, and widgets.
• Develops technical and organizational requirements and always strives to deliver intuitive and user-centered solutions.
• Illustrates design ideas using storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.
• Develops UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look.
• Identifies and troubleshoots UX problems (e.g. responsiveness).
• Conducts layout adjustments based on user feedback.
• Develops and adheres to style standards for fonts, colors, and images.
• Assists with proposal development, if necessary.
• Performs other duties, as assigned.

Experience:

• Must have four (4) + years of experience as a UI-UX designer or similar role.
• Must have knowledge of Usability Factors in Human-Computer Interaction.
• Should have a UI design portfolio.

Education:

• High School Diploma required.

Other Required Skills & Abilities:

• Must be able to effectively communicate with customer and fulfill all duties and responsibilities as listed in the contract.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office suite including, but not limited to: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
• Must have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Must be a critical thinker, problem solver, and customer centered.
• Should be detail oriented.

Security Clearance:

• Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance prior to start date.
