What you’ll get:
Our apprentices get a minimum of 12 months of on-the-job experience, including nationally recognized training and instruction, online and in the classroom. You’ll partner with mentors, get coaching from subject matter experts, and learn even more from your managers. Opportunities are infinite as you gain the experience and visibility you need to apply for or transition to a highly skilled related role at T-Mobile. At the end of the program, you’ll graduate with a transferrable, nationally recognized training credential issued through the U.S. Department of Labor.

T-Mobile officially launched the Apprenticeship Program in September 2020 in collaboration with the Nevada Apprentice Project, meeting our merger commitment to the State of Nevada. More states and roles will follow.

T-Mobile is searching for an Associate Field Technician for our Apprenticeship Program. Join us in taking the next big leap forward – not only for our team, but for your career! After successful fulfillment of demonstrated learnings of the 12-month Associate Field Technician Apprenticeship program, recipients will receive a certificate of completion from T-Mobile. Through the course of the apprenticeship, you will complete a series of demonstrated learnings delivered through digital platforms, classroom training, one-on-one training with subject matter experts, mentorship, experiential learning through on-the-job assignments, and completion of a final project.

 

You should possess a basic knowledge of the wireless industry, coupled with the ability to work towards working independently and cover a wide area of sites in our market. You will become versatile, encompassing aspects of technical support, project management, operational support, and learn to be an excellent teammate.

**Must be a resident of the State of Nevada to be considered for this role**

**Candidates for this role must live within 50 miles of Reno, NV**

 

 

Your responsibilities:

Earners of the Apprenticeship certificate have successfully demonstrated proficiency in the following knowledge and skills:

  • Provides technical support within and occasionally outside immediate team. Help drive network performance initiatives, outage resolution and works to identify day-to-day improvement opportunities.
  • Project management: Tackles smaller projects or portions of key projects / initiatives, providing accurate status and progress updates as requested.
  • Operations: Identifies and shares potential process improvements and recommends them to Senior Technicians and/or management for consideration. Provides input on process improvements related to maintenance and repair activities. Assists in creation of job aids, scopes of work, method / statement of procedure, and effective tools working closely with a Senior Technician.
  • Continuous learning: Enrolls in and completes training requirements to stay current on existing and new systems and products, growing skills, and to expand proficiency in what we value and organizational requirements.

Your qualifications:

  • Ability to learn quickly and gain a minimum technical proficiency with Ericsson equipment in the field
