Responsibilities

The Financial Systems Administrator role is responsible for the administration of Hyperion Essbase, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Blackline applications and associated tools.  The Financial Systems Administrator will interact within the finance, business, and IT communities.  The Financial Systems Administrator must exhibit strong leadership, collaboration, accounting/financial acumen and communication skills, and effectively engage peers. Position reports to the Manager Financial Systems – Hyperion within the Shared Services Accounting Group.

 

Hyperion System Administration to include database validation and maintaining/tracking of hierarchy / system updates. Ensures data ties out between Hyperion Essbase and Oracle Financial Systems to ensure accuracy. Ensures International data ties out between Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) and Hyperion Essbase. Administer Blackline month end close Task and Account reconciliation modules.

 

The Financial Systems Administrator position also offers the opportunity to learn Hyperion HFM functionality as well as support Viad and GES subsidiaries as a backup HFM Administrator.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, MIS or related field required.
  • Experience with Blackline’s Account Reconciliation and Task modules preferred.
  • Experience with Hyperion products preferred (Essbase/SmartView/Hyperion Financial Reporting).
  • Finance or Accounting background preferred.
  • Strong understanding of OLAP concepts and financial business acumen
  • Strong communications skills, both written and verbal. Ability to understand impact of communication on users and stakeholders.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • Excellent analytical, conceptual, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams as well as independent setting.
  • Strong Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to build trusting relationships and partner with end-users throughout the organization
